Beckham in his underpants, eating chips; A Grand Union?!

To celebrate National Chip Week (yep, chips get their own WEEK) Soho-based chip shop Grand Union have come up with a spoof video version of the ever-pleasant H&M advert of David Beckham in his underpants.

The cheeky chippy uploaded the video which seemed to show Golden Balls stuffing his face with chips while wearing pants emblazoned with #BeckhamforGU across the backside onto youtube and has already had a considerable amount of hits. The strapline ‘Forget London Fashion Week, it’s National Chip Week’ follows, plays on the fact that this week celebrates two such wildly different events.

It’s a shame that this is likely to be a short-lived campaign, given that H&M and Beckham are less than likely to see the funny side. Fingers crossed that the video goes viral before it can be taken down!
