Simple PR wins: Muppets cupcakes sent to Stephen Fry

Simple PR works.

Oh, and having a brand people love already helps a bit, too.

To promote the launch of The Muppets movie – as well as all the other brilliant work they’re doing- character cupcakes have been sent to a few prominent tweeters, including Stephen Fry, Claudia Winkelman and T4 presenter Jameela Jamil, who then went on to tweet about them with pictures:

Stephen Fry tweeted these Muppets cupcakes

For the cost of producing and sending these (great looking) cupcakes, millions more people have been reached via social media.

Cupcake Occasions created the mini masterpieces.

The Disney Movies team tweeted this:

The Muppets Movie tweet

Though not entirely true, it’s not far wide of the mark.

Thanks to Sue Hunter for tweeting me with this.

Stephen Fry appears to be better than Groupon. Anything he does goes stratisferic. Well done to the cupcake company and the guitarist who he raves about at any opportunity.
