Huge Angry Birds stunt takes place at Seattle's Space Needle

Finally, some news of an ornithological variety.

On Thursday, a 35-foot Angry Bird was hung from Seattle's 605-foot tall Space Needle, to promote the launch of Angry Birds Space on the same day.

T-Mobile sponsored the effort, where a 300-foot long slingshot pointing skywards had in its pouch a giant Red Bird. The stunt was a huge recreation of the method used in the game to sling the perpetually irate fowl.

Fans were invited by Rovio to the famous landmark in Seattle, W

ashington to play the new game and win prizes.

You may remember the recent example we featured where Rovio (the developers of the Angry Birds franchise) had a NASA astronaut introduce the game from the International Space Station.
