'Like to see less and share to undress' – new campaign where model strips for Facebook likes

stussy stripper strip for likes

Attractive girl: check.
Slightly seductive expression: check.
Intriguing caption to grab attention: check.

Teen-boy dream? Probably.

According to Colin Lamberton who is behind the new Stüssy campaign, “the model must be suffocating under that many layers of clothing. It is almost a public duty to

free her out of this misery.”

So yes, you guessed it. Each time somebody ‘likes’ the Facebook page, a layer of clothing (each being from Stüssy’s spring/summer 2012 collection) will be removed from the poor damsel in distress. That’s a lot of layers needing a hell of a lot of likes.

The campaign is clearly aimed at men, despite the brand selling clothes for both men and women, thus I would bet all of the 51p that is currently in my purse that the majority of people clicking were males wanting to reach the gold at the end of the rainbow, rather than females having a casual browse through the new collection.

I’m going to say that this is more of a desperate sexist blunder rather than an ingenious campaign move.
