Cinema installs double beds

Forget the back row in the cinema, the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill has installed double beds in the front row. The owners of the cinema have ripped out 14 seats and placed six double beds in their place.

It means that couples can now slip under bed sheets with a glass of wine while they watch the latest movies.

These cinema beds are thought to be the first of their kind in Britain. They will cost £18 a head. It’s the brainchild of Nick Jones of Soho House. He said “there used to be smooching in the back row, now there will be smooching in the front row under a blanket.”
