Irn-Bru sells personalised bottles

After the fun they had with this stunt, announcing a Coca-Cola-inspired personalised can (great if your name was Fanny), Irn-Bru has begun to sell a wider range of personalised bottles of drink with Scottish names. The bottles will feature such names as Senga, Rab and Tam, as well as Fanny.

This campaign is accompanied by television adverts feature people drinking the beverage during embarrassing situations.

Last year, one advert in the campaign received complaints, as it shows a new father in shock after his wife announces they are going to name their daughter Fanny.

A spokesman for Irn-Bru said: “We hope our fans enjoy our limited-edition bottles of Irn-Bru, celebrating well-loved Scottish names which mean a lot to us.

“Deliveries have been made across the country for Scots to get a taste of Irn-Bru that they can call their own.”

The campaign is similar to Coca Cola’s ‘Share a Coke’ stunt, where common British first names can be found on drinks.
