Tennent’s Lager create Glaswegian spoof of #RacetheTube

In response to the recent and popular ‘Race the Tube – Sprint’ video, in which a man raced an underground train between stops, the marketing team at my dad’s erstwhile favourite daily-nightly tipple (and, sorry Tennent’s, but that’s not much of an endorsement), Tennent’s Lager have created this branded version:

In the light-hearted ‘Glasgow edition’, a Scottish runner attempts the same challenge between Hillhead Station and Kelvin Bridge Station. Except, the Glaswegian underground is, according to Tennent’s Marketing Director Paul Condron , ‘the same two trains on a loop’, giving the ‘runner’ enough time to sink a couple of pints, eat some chips, get into a sunbed and even indulge in a spot of waterpainting.

The spoof effort has received coverage on the Mail, AOL, The Daily Record and more.
