Dolmio hijacks tech for family meal-time

Traditional family meal-time for most of us ended the moment we all started owning mobile phones, but over the last few years it seems that it has reached another level. With some of us unable to put our phone down, even to eat.
Dolmio Australia attempted to ‘reclaim traditional family time’ by creating the Dolmio Pepper Hacker. Aside from grinding pepper, the pepper hacker also paused all entertainment electronic devices with one twist; stopping those “in a minute” and “one sec” responses we have all heard too often.
The video secretly filmed the reactions of families once their tech was switched off and dinner was served, with chaos ensuing. For all those geeks (like myself) the device was in fact some sort of electromagnetic pulse emitting gadget.
We are yet to find out whether the Dolmio Pepper Hacker will be sold with Dolmio bolognese sauce, but if they do then I’m expecting a sharp rise in sales.
