Pop-up ‘Grease-less Spoon Café’ served free full English with half the calories

By on Monday, July 13, 2015

Bit late to this one, but well worth a mention.

Appliance brand Miele opened the Grease-less Spoon Café in Covent Garden last week, offering diners a free full English breakfast weighing in at just 533 calories – more than half the calories of a traditional fry-up (1,035 calories, according to the press release):

Masterchef Finalist Sven-Hanson Britt was brought in, and only used steam to cook the traditional ingredients, with no oil or fat in sight.

As well as the full English, brioche, granola and fruit yoghurt and eggs and ‘soldiers’ were on the menu, too. The campaign was covered by the Mail Online, Metro and TimeOut, among others.
