Candy Crush to erect bouncy castle on London’s South Bank

To promote the launch of its new Candy Crush jelly-themed game, King Digital Entertainment is hitting London’s South Bank to set up a seven metre tall bouncy castle from the 3rd to the 5th March 2016.

Yep, that’s right, time to go into lock down and prepare for the relentless barrage of game requests on Facebook…

I digress. The bouncy castle. It does sound very appealing, and the fact that it’s only for people over 16 years old is an added bonus – zero risk of flattening any toddlers. Members of the public will be invited to play on the bouncy castle and jump to grab an array of prizes.

If you’re not that good at jumping and miss out on the treats at least you’ll be able to enjoy the Candy Crush sound bites, smells (yes, the castle will even smell like raspberry jelly), bright colours and illuminations.

According to the Guardian the social games giant hit “severe turbulence” last year and is clinging on to its number 40 spot in the App chart.

King Digital Entertainment is no stranger to fun PR stunts, to promote the release of its Paradise Bay game in September last year, the gaming company erected a record-breaking hammock in New York (large enough to catch 1000 bass-sized fish, in case you were wondering, which I know you are). Here’s hoping ‘Bouncingham Castle’ gives the mobile game a much needed boost.

If you fancy popping down to have a bounce around to win a prize or two, the castle will be at London’s South Bank on the 3rd and 4th of March, 10am-8pm, and till 6pm on the 5th.
