Beanz Meanz…Pop-Up!

By on Thursday, April 13, 2017

Can you believe Heniz Baked Beans have been around for over half a century?! To celebrate FIFTY YEARS since the iconic ‘Beanz Meanz Heinz’ ad slogan was first used, the brand has opened a pop-up baked bean café in Selfridges.

Customers can get their hands on tomato sauce-drenched deliciousness like beans with crispy bacon, beans with ham hock and beans with scrambled egg, all of which come with the ‘option’ of adding extra cheese (who says no to extra cheese?!)

Fans of the brand can also get their hands on limited edition cans, decorated with artwork featuring the famous slogan that give a snapshot of a life lived with baked beans. Bean enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to grab one of 50 collectable can personally signed by Maurice Drake, the advertising copywriter who can up with ‘Beanz Meanz Heinz’ in 1967.

This is a nice stunt by a brand which has been a kitchen staple for decades, and which continues to play an important part in dinners across the country – from students to families. The pop up is around until 23 April 2017 at Selfridges Foodhall.
