Game of Thrones fans can eat direwolf bread made by actual Hot Pie!

Happy Game of Thrones Eve! (Yes, it’s a thing.)

Don’t know about you, but I feel like I’ve been rowing as long as Gendry while waiting for season 7 to drop and I can’t wait for the first episode to hit tomorrow!

Lucky Londoners have another reason to be happy while waiting for their Thrones fix tomorrow – Deliveroo has teamed up with Hot Pie (remember him?!) to open the ‘You Know Nothing, John Dough’ bakery. God, how I love puns…

Actor Ben Hawkey, who played Hot Pie, has definitely been practising his baking skills since he gave Arya that ‘Hot Mess’ of a direwolf loaf in the early days of the show.

It’s the thought that counts…

Deliveroo will be delivering the treats in London on Monday, 17th July for £1 each. Get ’em while they’re hot though, as it’s first come, first served.

It’s one in many Game of Thrones stories we’ve seen in the run-up to the first episode of the long-awaited penultimate season. I like what Deliveroo has done with this, it’s a nice tie-in to the show without being tenuous and the idea of bringing back a much-loved minor character has a fuzzy touch of nostalgia about it. Nice work, guys.

Now, if you could tell us where Gendry is that would be amazing…
